You’ve got the itch. You’ve been thinking about it for weeks, and you’re ready. Ready for adventure, ready for freedom, ready to start exploring and experiencing the outdoors. But you’re not an experienced camper – though you know you want to do your traveling in an Airstream, you’re not an expert. Or perhaps you’ve spent summer after summer in the woods, mountains, or coast – but with twins and a dog, the old tent just won’t fit your family anymore. You want to make sure you make the right choice.

At Airstream, we’re passionate about enjoying the outdoors through travel and camping. We want to find ways to spread the gospel, so to speak, of trailer camping to as many people as possible. The concept can be intimidating to someone who’s new at it, though.

It can be tough to learn to surf, but Airstream can support anything that makes it easier for people to get out and have fun in the outdoors. Stand-up paddle surfing (SUP) is one of those things. Initially developed as a technique for instructors to position themselves for photos, SUP has developed into its own sport, focusing on racing rather than riding the large waves of traditional surfing.

We love it when other companies use and rely on our products. It’s particularly great when the company is one that tries to integrate the Airstream trailer and our philosophy into what they do. Veuve Clicquot is one of those companies.

When you’re on the road, there are certain things you have to have. You need comfort. You need economy. You need style. You need safety. But getting all of that in one, self-contained package isn’t easy. Usually something must be sacrificed – but not with Airstream and Mercedes-Benz’s Interstate touring coach.
Along with our trailers, there are tons of other things that can make your time on the road great. One is a pink flamingo – yes, the fun, eye catching lawn ornament, which since its creation in 1957 has become one of the most ubiquitous yard decorations across America. Pink flamingos have also become an important part of Airstream culture, as many Airstreamers have flamingos that travel the country with them, to be displayed at every stop. It’s a way to call out to other Airstreamers and enhance our community.

Whether you’re new to the experience or a seasoned veteran, travelling in your Airstream is just more fun with others. That’s where the Wally Byam Caravan Club International (WBCCI) comes in.

At Airstream we’re very proud of our construction processes and product quality, and why wouldn’t we be? Approximately 70 percent of the Airstream travel trailers ever built are still on the road. And you can expect that a new Airstream is just as tough as one that founder Wally Byam himself could have designed.

The Airstream name has existed for nearly a century, and when you look back to the beginning of the company, there’s something you notice. While there have been numerous advances in technology, construction, and style since 1931, we have maintained basically the same look when it comes to our trailers. It’s not because we’re stubborn – it’s because that design has stood the test of time, and helped us outlive most of our competition.

Airstream has long been concerned with protecting the environment – we emphasize efficiency in travel and longevity of use, with almost 70% of the Airstreams that have been built still on the road today. In part because of this nature-conscious philosophy, EcoTrek sought to partner with Airstream.
